Day 01 :Satna To Khajuraho
You arrive at Satna by Kashi/ Pawan Express and after breakfast, you proceed to Khajuraho. You have a free afternoon to relax, and your stay overnight is at Hotel Payal/ Hotel Jhankar.
Day 02 :Delhi-Bhopal
The Khajuraho temples, 22 of which still survive, are testament of man's artistry and breadth of vision. Built in the 10th and 11th centuries, by the Chandela Rajputs, these temples celebrate life, love and joy, their facades covered with exquisitely detailed sculptures. In the morning you visit the museum and the Western group of temples, returning in the afternoon to see the Eastern and Southern groups.
Day 03 :Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh
After breakfast, you leave for Bandhavgarh which is one of the outstanding wildlife parks of India. Here you are taken on a round of the park in the evening, a time when the animals come out to feed and can be seen. You stay overnight at White Tiger Forest Lodge.
Day 04 :Bandhavgarh
The day is spent touring around Bandhavgarh observing different species of fauna and flora. Several types of deer are easily spotted while the elusive tiger, a hoped-for sight, rewards the fortunate with an unexpected appearance.
Day 05 :Bandhavgarh - Jabalpur
After breakfast, you leave for Jabalpur arriving for lunch. In the evening, you go boating on the Narmada among the soaring Marble Rocks at the nearby Bhedaghat where the Narmada flows between these remarkable and naturally splendid rocks, ending in the spectacular Dhuandhar Falls. At Jabalpur, you stay overnight at Hotel Kalchuri.
Day 06 :Jabalpur - Pachmarhi
After breakfast you leave for Pachmarhi arriving there for lunch and a relaxed evening. You stay overnight at Holiday Homes.
Day 07 : Pachmarhi
Pachmarhi in the Satpura Hills, is a nature lover's delight. It is a colonial town, verdant, quiet and serene. In the morning you sightsee, visiting Jata Shankar, the Pandav Caves and Handi Khoh. In the afternoon you go out to Dhoopgarh, the highest point of the Satpuras, from where endless vistas unfold in each direction at sunset.
Day 08 :Pachmarhi - Bhopal
You leave for Bhopal and visit Bhimbetka enroute to see the neolithic cave paintings, and Bhojpur where you visit the incomplete Shiva and Jain temples. Your overnight stay is at Hotel Palash, Bhopal.
Day 09 :Bhopal-Sanchi
After breakfast, you go to Sanchi, the ancient city of Buddhist culture and learning. You visit the museum and the great Stupa which represents Buddhist art at its peak of perfection. After lunch at Travellers' Lodge you return to Bhopal, for sightseeing in this beautiful capital city. The afternoon tea is at our lakeside cafeteria, Wind and Waves. You continue your stay overnight at Hotel Palash.
Day 10 :Bhopal-Ujjain
You leave for Ujjain arriving there for lunch. You have a free afternoon to relax, and stay overnight at Hotel Shipra
Day 11 :Ujjain
Ujjain is a renowned pilgrimage centre. The sacred river, Shipra, flows through this city of temples, where learning flourishes to this day. You visit the famed temples and ghats in the morning and evening.
Day 12 :Ujjain-Mandu
After breakfast, you leave for Mandu with packed lunch. Enroute, you visit the holy city of rivers, Omkareshwar which has one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas, and has drawn devout pilgrims for centuries. In the afternoon, you go on to sightsee in Maheshwar, famous even today for its temples and beautifully woven Maheshwari sarees. The night is spent at the Tourist Cottage in Mandu.
Day 13 :Mandu
Mandu is one of the most beautiful deserted cities anywhere in the world. Enclosed by 45 km of parapet and walls, Mandu was ruled by several dynasties, each leaving behind a legacy of splendid monuments. Enriching the ambiance is the glorious legend of Baz Bahadur and his beloved Roopmati. The morning and afternoon are spent sightseeing among the pavilions, palaces and tombs.
Day 14 :Indore - Mumbai
You leave, after breakfast, for Indore where you visit the famed Kanch Mandir, the Central Museum and the Lal Bagh. You leave for Mumbai by Avantika Express at the end of your 'enchanting fortnight'.
